The Royal Oak Inn offers 4* Accommodation in the heart of Exmoor with access directly onto the Moor.
All rooms were refurbished in May 2019 and have been refurbished further in November 2020 to provide additional luxury fixtures & features.
Each of the eight rooms are individually designed with Sanderson Bed linens, soft crisp towels & comfortable beds for a relaxing night’s sleep.

Attention to Dog owners
We love your four legged best friends and we have our own dogs here too. They are welcome throughout the building and can dine in the bars or restaurant with you. They even have their own menu.
Dogs are welcome in some rooms. They cannot be left in the rooms unattended and if we can ask that they are kept on a lead throughout the building. There are lots of wonderful walks straight from the door to exercise them. Please just ask a member of staff.
There is a £10 per stay per dog charge. If you require towels, bowls, waste bags etc, please just ask.

Shoot Parties
Must take a minimum of 5 rooms for the rate below. This can be paid on departure but a deposit of £50 per room is required on booking. Non-refundable but movable.
For 4 rooms or less, use normal flexi pricing and pay on departure.
£125 per person per night on single occupancy.
£75 per person per night on double occupancy.
Wifi is available throughout the whole building but please bear in mind it may not be the speeds you might be used to!

For saver breaks, the payment is non-refundable. Should you not be able to keep your booking, please contact us to discuss.
For Flexi breaks you can cancel up to 5 days before arrival with no charge. Within 5 days of arrival, your card will be debited with the first night’s charge.
Check in is from 4pm to 9pm on the day of your arrival. Check out is by 10.30am. Late check in and late arrival must be made by prior arrangement.
